Continuing the green smoothie theme, I finally created a "green" smoothie for my daughter by using pineapple instead of strawberries. However, sadly, she didn't like the taste and refused to drink it!

I reblended the kids green smoothie with the strawberries they liked the other day and it turned brown again. Everyone took a taste and said it was pretty good but no one was enthusiastic about it and it was kind of wasted. If you tinker with it, you risk them not liking a variation and abandoning the concept altogether.

Also, an interesting video I found about the role of sugar and insulin on weight gain. If you found my post on this subject tough reading, this might be easier to understand. Please ignore the part about the weight loss products advertised in it. The first parts about how sugar and insulin work and the 5 suggestions for weight loss are the parts I find interesting.
